Candidate for Senate

What issues are important to you?

I'm really passionate about oppressive issues. I am interested in working with issues on multiculturalism, gender, religion, and whatever else strikes my fancy.
Current issues, locally and nationally, are very important to work on and be active around.

What was your first political experience?

My first political experience, if I am served correctly, was when I was about thirteen years old and I went to a march in Los Angeles, California. There were thousands of people there, supporting the israeli government and troops. There were such excellent speakers, and the crowd was very passionate on the topic. It was an amazing experience. Goals for next year:

For office next year I would like to see a lot of open-mindedness, especially when it comes to looking at both sides of the spectrum. I'd also like to see more effort and focus put on issues that have been pushed aside. And I think it would be ideal if that office really payed attention to what the student body wants to see come out of ASPSU.

Fun Facts:

* My favorite restaurant in Portland is either P.F.Changs or The Roxy. I like the atmosphere in both places, yet they are way different. Variety is the key here!

* I like the colors orange, pink, and black... in that order precisely.

* My favorite book is called "Good in Bed" by Jennifer Weiner, excellent comedic fiction novel!

* I have two dogs, one Great Dane and one really old Yellow Labrador. One is seven feet tall on his hind legs, and the other couldn't see me if she tried.

* If I could have dinner with any two people, they would be Davey Havok (lead singer of my favorite band, AFI) and Joe Strummer (frontman of the Clash). They are both breathtaking musicians who I find inspiration from.
